Bolivia 2016 - Update #5

As we are ending our trip I would like to share some things that I have gotten to see and experience here in Bolivia.IMG_8161.JPG

First is the people here are very welcoming and hospitable. They are wanting to know about you and where you are from.

Second is the love for the Lord. Their desire and yearning for the word. Some of the people that attend the church that Matias Jr pastors at don't have a lot but bring lots of joy and passion to church. Joel and I were greeted with open arms and food. I received pictures from the kids that they had colored at their Sunday school to bring back to the kids at our church.

A third thing is the camp that the Mojica's are building is very nice. It is on lots of property next to a creek with great potential to reach lots of kids and families. They have 4 cabins and 2 bathrooms built with 2 more cabins being built about 3/4 of the way finished and 2 more that are just starting to be built. They have s larger building that is about 3/4 of the way finished and it is used as the eating area with a kitchen and as a gathering hall. There is a soccer field a zip line and other activities in the works for the campers to do.IMG_8159.JPGIMG_8179.JPGIMG_8183.JPG

Last is the desire and love for the Lord that Matias and his family have for the Lord and the vision that they have for bringing the word to the people here in Santa Cruz Bolivia.
I want to thank all of you here at Gateway for your prayers and support for me to be able to take this trip. This has been a desire of mine to be apart of for the last 3 or 4 years to come on and this year God provided the opportunity.

Thank You
Alex Lopes
